Our Use of Cookies

Swellplan uses cookies to make the experience easier for you.
How? You ask? We’ll let’s start with what a cookie is.

A cookie is a small text file that is stored in your browser. It allows a site to store variables in programing speak, or just little pieces of information. For example, we may use it to store your name in a cookie so that every time we ask for your name, we can pre-populate the field, preventing you from entering it by hand again.

We also use cookies so that when you create a Swellplan, we'll create a key for you and store it so that when you come back to the site, you have the ability to edit the Swellplan you created without signing in. This makes the experience for you smoother, and that is our goal.

Additionally, we also use cookies to understand how many times a page is viewed. We store this information so that we can provide it back to the creator of the individual Swellplan so they can understand if people are visiting the page and make changes accordingly. We may also use this information so that we can make better decisions about the site and how to help our customers.

Additionally, like many sites out there, we use Google Analytics which uses cookies. Google Analytics provides us aggregated site metrics so that we can see things like how many visitors are coming to the site, what percent of visits are on a mobile device, and where are people coming from. This informaiton helps us make decisions about the product. They provide more informaiton beyond that. If you are interested, please visit the Google Analytics web site.
